Abstract: Based on the investigation and study on the outcomes caused by the snow disarster in Guangxi, this paper presents an in-depth analysis on the long-term, social and serious impacts on forestry by the disarter. It suggests that further understanding of the disarster impacts be required, assessment of the losses caused by the disarster organized quickly, survey of damaged tree and bamboo forests conducted scientifically and a rehabilitation and rebuilding plan developed. Five suggestions on “Three Controls” for forest protection are also put forward.
