Abstract

Abstract: Determination and monitoring of the forest with high protection value is the basis for developing forest management plan and forest certification. This paper discusses the criteria and methods for datermining the forest with high protection vslue and puts forwand a feasible monitoring system. The pilot work in Hunchun Forestry Co.,Ltd shows that the method is operable, which provides reference for the forest management units in determination and monitoring of the forest with high protection value.
