Abstract: Based on 3 types of thinning intensities of 50%,40% and 40% and by analysing of variance,LSD(least significant difference) and interdependency, the results of effects of thinning frequency and intensity on growth of Eucalyptus smithii can be drawn. The results show that thinning frequency has prominent difference relation with such growth factors as tree height, breast diameter and crown breadth, and thinning frequency and intensity have extremely interdependency with tree height, breast diameter and net growth of crown breadth.
