Preliminary Study on Protective Effect of Fire Resisting Coatings for Steel Structures on Pinus armandii Bole

Abstract

Fire resisting coatings for steel structures was coated on 4 bole of middling size Pinus armandii in early forest fireproof period in Kunming area in the field.39 different specification specimens were obtained from 4 test trees and 1 contrast tree.Combustion experimentations of 39 specimens were tested with different amounts of gasoline,and the mortality rate of phloem was calculated.The results showed that fire resisting coatings for steel structures had significant protective effect on phloem of Pinus armandii bole.
