In recent years,tourism has developed rapidly in Wudang Mount.Research has been conducted on the impacts of tourism activities on natural environment of Wudang Mount,soils and vegetation characteristics in three elevations of Wudang Mount under tourism disturbance.The results show that soil bulk density has increased,the pH,the contents of organic matters,nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium have been reduced,leading to the loss of soil fertility and increasing the contents of heavy metal in soil,especially,Pb and Cr.on the order hand,vegetational types have been changed in Wudang Mount,which has reduced plant dominance index and evenness because of tourist activities,and vegetation coverage has decreased significantly,and reduction of plant diversity has led to the unstable plant community.
