Reflection on Establishing Sustainable Forest Management Index System at Management Unit Level

Abstract

The paper analyses the sustainable management characteristics and management elements at the forest management unit (abbr.FMU)level,puts forward the basic principles of constructing the evaluation index system of SFM at the FMU level,and proposes three indexes,i.e.the resource abundance index,the management ability index and the live operation index,to reflect comprehensively the state quo of SFM from different aspects at the FMU level.
