Abstract: On the basis of the forest stand spatial structure parameters, this takes uniform angle index as the main adjustment of the forest stand spatial structure optimization, and combined with intermediate cutting index, determine the trees for intermediate cuttings, and analyses forest stand spatial structure after intermediate cuttings, and finally determine the intensity of intermediate cutting. The results show that when thinning spacing distribution of trees changed from gathering distribution to random distribution, the average uniform angle index is 0.49. Mixed degree was improved, trees competition index and intermediate cutting index decrease, and neighborhood comparison remained about the same. The adjustment of forest stand reaches the expected aim and forest stand structure was optimized. Therefore, the determined thinning intensity is 26.2%.
