Effects of Different Fertilizer Application Techniques on the Growth of Young Taxus chinensis Stands

Abstract: Orthogonal experiments were made on applying differentfertilizers, and the effects of different amounts applied and different methodson the growth of the young Taxus chinensis stands. The results show that application of A3 (potassium sulfate compound fertilizer and fermented cow excrement)+B2 (10g potassium sulfate compound fertilizer and 100g fermented cow excrement)+C1 (applying fertilizer in furrows) yields best results in the hilly areas at anelevation of over 600 meters in south fujian Province. The average collar of the young Taxus chinensis stocks can reach 2.5cm and the average height 146.3cm.
