The Forest Health Assessment Indicator System Based on the Biodiversity for the Quercus Mongolica Forest in Beijing Area

Abstract: Based on field investig ation in the main distribution area of Quercus Mongolica forest, under the guidance of the principles of completeness, maneuverability, comparability and applicabili ty, this article aims at establishment of a forest health assessment indicator system and assessment method for Quercus Mongolica forest with the help of the complex st ructure and function indicator method, and thus of fering the scient ific theory for forest health management of the Quercus Mongolica forest in Beijing area after a comprehensive survey of the Quercus Mo ngolica forest health in the area above-mentio ned.In this study, biodiversity, vigo r, resilience and soil condition are taken as the indicators to evaluate forest ecosystem and the latest research of Quercus Mongolica forest and the natrual conditions and forest vegetation in Beijing are taken into consideration as well.
