Abstract: Based on the field investigation of selectd sample plots a study on the spatial distribution pattern of 3 types of forests (primitive forest, successive cutting forest and clear cutting forest) of Larix gmelinii was conducted in north Daxing'anling in Inner Mongolia. The results demonstrated that the distribution pattern of 3 typs of forests were all in cluster distribution, but they are different in the extent. The intensity of the clear cutting forest is the biggest, primitive forest is intermidiate and successive cutting forest is the smallest. According to the results of the study, some suggestions about management of Larix gmelinii were put forward.

Key words: Daxing'anling, Larix gmelinii, spatial distribution pattern
